OBSESS: Fall Shoe Favorites

The summer is fading.  No matter how much we wish it would stay, it's slipping away.  BUT that means it's time to pull out FALL FAVORITES.  Fall clothes are my favorite.  I love pulling out that fuzzy sweater and my skinny jeans.  I love breaking out the suede and cashmere!  And better yet, I love not having to cover it up with a bulky, puffer jacket.

Fall stuff has hit stores already and there are a few pairs of kicks that have been OBSESSED.  Let's start with the Aquazzura Christy flats.  If there's an IT shoe this season, these have got to be them.

I can't stop thinking about them.
It's taking over my life.
I can't sleep...though I can surprisingly still eat...

While I feel like they're starting to take over Instagram which means that they're almost on the brink of mainstream...but I still love them.  The pointed toe makes them feel a little more fashion forward, while the lace-up feels delicate and classic like a ballet slipper.  Be prepared to drop some dough- $675 for these beauties.

My favorite boot of all time has to be the Alexander Wang Sigrid Boot.  I bought these boots a few years ago and even today, after years of stretching them and trudging them through the salt-ridden snowy mush streets of NYC, they're still snuggly fit against my legs and I get compliments on them all the time.

These boots are a staple in the Alexander Wang shoe collection and will set you back about $1,050.  They are WORTH IT.  The day that mine finally die, I'll be re-upping.

I love black as much as the next girl, but I do realize that my wardrobe needs color sometimes.  Garance Doré recently shared these burgundy beauties by Jil Sander on her site and I'm loving them, too.

Coming in under $500, these are available now for $420.

Do you have any Obsessions for Fall that you're dying to get your hands on??  If so, tell me about them!  A girl can never have too many pairs of shoes....right???

Ogle, Obsess, Own: Stay Warm with New Coats

Up until now, I had been thinking that we would have a mild winter here in New York...a few storms later, I'm taking that back.

When I was walking out of my apartment yesterday to brave the cold, I looked in the mirror and I looked like a mess- I had lost all my individuality behind this black puffy coat and pom pom beanie.  My winter jacket was boring and tired.  My knit hat was looking ragged from enduring all the rain and snow.  My scarf is awesome.  It's probably the only awesome thing about my winter uniform.

Roaming the streets all I could see was a sea of Canada Goose jackets and LL Bean boots.  Nothing wrong with those things- they keep you nice and warm when the weather is awful, but there's more out there in the world of winter outerwear.

So what now?  It's time to do some shopping!  Here are things I would choose to spruce up my winter wear that are functional and still cute!

So, prices for coats range from affordably Ownable to overly expensive Ogle-able.  Here are the ones that I love:

This is a really cute and unique patterned coat from Dirk Bikkembergs at under $300

From my Obsess category, here's a pretty red coat by Jil Sander for under $600!

I also love this Camel/Black mixed coat by Atto.

And if you want to go REALLY luxe, here are my two choices.  Break that bank!

I love this ultra LUXE version of the winter parka by Mr. & Mrs.- the black fur on black parka is so classic and pretty.

If you want something a little more fitted, Givenchy has this beautiful option

Look, I know the last two coast are black, but I love black after all and if I was going to shell out bucks for an Ogle-worthy coat, it would be black, but there are a lot of really beautiful colorful coats out there for those of you who want to bring a little color to the winter.

Get shopping!  It's snowing again in NYC already...

To Ogle, Obsess, or Own....That is the Question. Sale season part 2!

Yes, of course there's a part 2.  There are so many sales!  I couldn't possibly lay everything out in one post.  Plus, the thing with sales is that you have to wade through a lot of things that you don't like to find those gems of  things that you really do want.

When shopping a sale, there are always going to be things that are tempting because of how discounted they are.  The one essential question that I always ask myself when considering an item on sale is, "Would I buy this at full price?"

The answer should always be "YES" and a it should be a "YES" without hesitation.  As much as I try to hold to this, there are times that I have bought things that I have totally regretted buying.  You know where that happens most?  Sample sales.  Timed sales.  AUGH.  They've all gotten me.

Anyway, here are a few things that I would happily say yes to- sale or no sale.  Not saying that I can afford all these things...but whatever.

This Eddie Borgo necklace that I posted about a while ago is now on sale!  I loved it then and I love it now! At 60% it's a great deal and really hard to resist.  It may or may not be sitting in my cart right now...talk about Ownable!

Another awesome find from Net-a-Porter is this Jil Sander bag.  I've been looking for a replacement for my Alexander Wang bag from Fall 2010.  This one could be it...but for now, it will remain an Obsession.

If I hadn't just bought that awesome Zimmerman bikini, I would buy this awesome Mara Hoffman one.  How awesome!  Summer is in full swing!  Get thee into a bikini, pronto! OWN!

I left the Hervé Léger trend behind a little while ago, but that doesn't mean that the dresses don't still look amazing on people with the right body to wear them.  If you've been wanting one of these, this one is pretty close to Ownable.

Happy Shopping!

Obsess: Dream bags

Now that all the fall bags are coming in to stores, I have handbags on the brain.  If money wasn't an object, I would have all these bags in my collection:

The elusive Celine Boston Tote

This Chloe clutch is named after me!  Clearly, I was destined to have it.

 Jill Sander Clutch

A girl can dream....
