OBSESS: Fall Shoe Favorites

The summer is fading.  No matter how much we wish it would stay, it's slipping away.  BUT that means it's time to pull out FALL FAVORITES.  Fall clothes are my favorite.  I love pulling out that fuzzy sweater and my skinny jeans.  I love breaking out the suede and cashmere!  And better yet, I love not having to cover it up with a bulky, puffer jacket.

Fall stuff has hit stores already and there are a few pairs of kicks that have been OBSESSED.  Let's start with the Aquazzura Christy flats.  If there's an IT shoe this season, these have got to be them.

I can't stop thinking about them.
It's taking over my life.
I can't sleep...though I can surprisingly still eat...

While I feel like they're starting to take over Instagram which means that they're almost on the brink of mainstream...but I still love them.  The pointed toe makes them feel a little more fashion forward, while the lace-up feels delicate and classic like a ballet slipper.  Be prepared to drop some dough- $675 for these beauties.

My favorite boot of all time has to be the Alexander Wang Sigrid Boot.  I bought these boots a few years ago and even today, after years of stretching them and trudging them through the salt-ridden snowy mush streets of NYC, they're still snuggly fit against my legs and I get compliments on them all the time.

These boots are a staple in the Alexander Wang shoe collection and will set you back about $1,050.  They are WORTH IT.  The day that mine finally die, I'll be re-upping.

I love black as much as the next girl, but I do realize that my wardrobe needs color sometimes.  Garance DorĂ© recently shared these burgundy beauties by Jil Sander on her site and I'm loving them, too.

Coming in under $500, these are available now for $420.

Do you have any Obsessions for Fall that you're dying to get your hands on??  If so, tell me about them!  A girl can never have too many pairs of shoes....right???

OGLE: YSL is MINTY FRESH

I've been a subscriber to Daily Candy since I moved to NYC 6 years ago.  I remember people telling me that it was the go-to mailer for sample sales, weekend activity ideas, and store openings, but since then, Daily Candy has evolved into something so much bigger.  Not only does it still provide me with a laundry list of sales I wish I could go to if only I had an unlimited supply of time and money, but it gives me deals to some of my favorite stores and inspiration to continue writing this blog.

While waiting for Taco Night to be set up for dinner last night, my friend...let's call her Party Cat, and I were browsing an email that DC had sent over outlining Spring's hottest accessories- one of those accessories was an amazing YSL shoe.  DC made me realize by showing me this shoe, that up until now, I've been totally forgetful of one very lovely color...MINT.

Now to show you the shoes that brought mint back to life for me.  They are SO AWESOME.  The mint color is so prance-y and happy-looking.

I'd been so distracted by the fluoros that have overrun every store out there that I had forgotten about the love affair I had started to Mint last spring when I happily donned Essie's Mint Candy Apple.  Now I'll definitely have to do that color again!

How awesome is the color?!  While these shoes are probably going to priced well out of my affordable range, nothing says I can't stare at them for hours on end.  Let the staring begin now.

Ogle: Glitter pumps? Really?

I love the fact that living in New York, you can wear whatever you want and feel comfortable.  I think that's how the trend of glitter pumps was born.  I do think that they are fun type of shoe to look at, but something about them just seems too Do-It-Yourself to me...here are some of the more high end ones that I've seen...

 These are from Giuseppe Zanotti

And even Jimmy Choo (though I think that this is much  better and more subtle option)

All in all, I get why people are drawn to this trend.  It kind of reminds me a little of the Dorothy Ruby Red Slippers but in a much cooler and more adult way.  Not porn start style, but it could be border line here.  I'll ogle this trend from a distance but I probably won't dabble.  If you're looking for some cheaper options, there are plenty of options- check out ShopStyle for an huge selection.
