OBSESS: Mansur Gavriel's Lady Bag

I wrote a post a little while ago about find the right laptop bag and I'm sad to report that I'm still on the hunt.

UNTIL TODAY.  I was stopped dead in my tracks by Mansur Gavriel.

But before I go into it, I have to say that people need to calm down about Mansur Gavriel.  I do LOVE their bags, but I struggle with the price of them because I feel like they're SUCH basic bags (which I'm torn about because their basic-ness is something I love about them).  While I admit that the design of the Mansur Gavriel bag far surpasses that of a Cuyana and Everlane, I just feel like the price gap is preventing me from pulling the trigger.

Ok, so now that we've taken that little detour, let's talk about the Lady Bag.

I'm totally in love with it.  I love the simplicity of its design and how chic and understated it is.  I get chills just looking at it.

I've now read a ton of articles on how to get this bag and it's unfortunately out of reach because it's SOLD OUT EVERYWHERE.

*SOBS*

This might be the first Mansur Gavriel bag that I would actually shell the dough out for just because it seems to be so great for work- something that I would carry every day.

A girl can dream...

Own: Friday Favorites

So, in effort to keep at this blogging thing more regularly, I'm going to start to post some Friday favorites!

I'm not going to lie- I spend a crazy amount of time perusing shopping and fashion sites and sometimes, the things that I find might not warrant a whole blog post, but they are a blip in my mind that need to be released.  Maybe these Friday posts will be as therapeutic for you as they are for me.

I've found (a little late to the game, I'll admit) that Instagram is an INSANELY EFFECTIVE way to find new designers.  Now that they've updated their "Discover" function, I've found so many cool designers and shops this way.  Talina Hermann is one of those.

Loving this vest.

I'll be traveling to Japan in December *angels rejoice* and I've been trying to decide whether I want to bring my fancy purses with me or not.  I generally don't like to travel with my nice bags because I don't want them to have to weather the arduous conditions of extra cold AC or to get scraped up against something really dirty or sharp.  I've been keeping my eye our for more affordable bags and found Smaak Amsterdam.

I love the simple, understated, and chic design of their Jodie bag coming in at around $300.

And also, I'm a lingerie freak and love showing off fun bras under sheer tops.  These bras by Mary Young are awesome.

So many more things that I'm coveting but I'll let this here for now.  :) Come back next Friday to see more new finds!  Have a great weekend!

OGLE: NY Fashion Week Favorites

It's upon us.

NYFW.

Dramaazzzz.  It's been crazy town here in the City, but the best part is that the streets are filled with the most beautiful people that have the most eclectic style.  I was feeling a little fashion fatigued myself lately (mostly due to girl brain and feeling fat...), but there have been some amazing shows that really have me feeling that fashion itch again.

Ryan Roche is a designer I fell in love with after the last NYFW.  Her wonderful piling-on of knits makes me feel warm and fuzzy all over.  Here are a few of my fav looks from his S/S 2016 show:

A collection that I totally fell in love with was Prabal Gurung.  So pretty and so feminine with really cool cut outs showing just little slivers of skin and I'm all about the sheer look.  I have always loved it and I still do.  Here are a few of my favorite looks:

AND SEAMS.  I've normally leaned towards designs that are singular in fabric construction but differentiated by their ability to create structure without looking hard and boring.  I can't believe I'm saying this, but Carolina Herrara might be my FAVORITE SHOW.  Something different is happening there and I LOVE IT.  Here are my favorites.

OMG SLAY.  SO AMAZING.  Stay tuned for my NYFW summary of trends that are coming!  So much more to review and talk about!!

OBSESS: Fall Shoe Favorites

The summer is fading.  No matter how much we wish it would stay, it's slipping away.  BUT that means it's time to pull out FALL FAVORITES.  Fall clothes are my favorite.  I love pulling out that fuzzy sweater and my skinny jeans.  I love breaking out the suede and cashmere!  And better yet, I love not having to cover it up with a bulky, puffer jacket.

Fall stuff has hit stores already and there are a few pairs of kicks that have been OBSESSED.  Let's start with the Aquazzura Christy flats.  If there's an IT shoe this season, these have got to be them.

I can't stop thinking about them.
It's taking over my life.
I can't sleep...though I can surprisingly still eat...

While I feel like they're starting to take over Instagram which means that they're almost on the brink of mainstream...but I still love them.  The pointed toe makes them feel a little more fashion forward, while the lace-up feels delicate and classic like a ballet slipper.  Be prepared to drop some dough- $675 for these beauties.

My favorite boot of all time has to be the Alexander Wang Sigrid Boot.  I bought these boots a few years ago and even today, after years of stretching them and trudging them through the salt-ridden snowy mush streets of NYC, they're still snuggly fit against my legs and I get compliments on them all the time.

These boots are a staple in the Alexander Wang shoe collection and will set you back about $1,050.  They are WORTH IT.  The day that mine finally die, I'll be re-upping.

I love black as much as the next girl, but I do realize that my wardrobe needs color sometimes.  Garance DorĂ© recently shared these burgundy beauties by Jil Sander on her site and I'm loving them, too.

Coming in under $500, these are available now for $420.

Do you have any Obsessions for Fall that you're dying to get your hands on??  If so, tell me about them!  A girl can never have too many pairs of shoes....right???
