Own Own Own! Sales Sales Sales!

PRE-BLACK FRIDAY IS HERE.

Hey!  Just because it's not Black Friday doesn't mean that you can't get your shopping engines started.  There are so many sites out there throwing sales at you, but don't worry.  I'm here to help.  Let me show you the way.

Yoox.com is an awesome place to find deals if you have the patience for it.  Right now they are offering an additional 15% off on their site with the code YOOXTHANKS.  Here are some choice items on there that I'm seriously considering Owning:

This pair of Chloe Booties are darling and so are these Bimba y Lola gloves

Oh and LOOK!  A dress by Charlotte Eskildsen's Designer Remix!

James Perse is having an early access sale.  If you love their soft knits and lazy Ts, now is the time to stock up.

I would love to have all the things in this sale but, this faux wrap dresscomfy tank, and military shirt are my favorites.  Let's get three of each.  Yay!

Get on Revloveclothing.com now and like them on facebook!  They'll give you an extra 20% off everything on their site.  This is a great place to cruise for holiday dresses!  Here are some great ones that I found:

A Gothic lace number by StyleStalker, a blingy mini dress by Backstage, or a paired down dress by Torn ripe for accessory embellishement- Revolve has a lot of great options.

I hope this gets your shopping chops going...stay tuned for a rundown on Black Friday of my scores!  Good luck!

Ogle: If I had a Million Dollars!

Come to think of it though, what is a million dollars today?

That phrase is meant to inspire people to get to that economic freedom where their disposable income seems infinite, but this day in age, a million dollars seems like diddly - I mean when you think about buying a huge house and an awesome car- that right there would be your cool million gone.

Anyway, let's just assume that by "million," I mean, crazy-cowabunga-oodles-and-oodles-of-millions-of-bucks (wow, my most proper English to date) and get to what we're really here to do- stare in awe at all the things we could buy if we had that crazy-cowabunga-oodles-and-oodles-of-millions-of-bucks.  Let's get started.

I've had bags on the brain for the last 3 weeks and it's driving me nuts (don't even ask me about the Smythson bag that I lost out on...I'll save that for a Regret post).  If I had all those bucks though, I would keep them in this lovely and classic Delvaux bag.  This Belgian brand has been around for a long time, but doesn't seem to get much exposure in the US- such a shame.  I think that the Givry bag, pictured here, is SO PRETTY.  Remember, we're uber-millionaires so this $2,150 bag would be pennies in the bucket.  Want to see more about Delvaux?  Click here.

Every day clothes?  I would probably keep it pretty simple, in my heart I really love unique design and soft fabrics.  I would probably live a lot of my days in James Perse because it's so lovely and soft.  Especially simple dresses like this asymmetrical shoulder one.  This one is actually very Ownable today without my millions at $95.

But if I wanted to get a little fancy, this Chalayan dress is amazing.  I love the color and the contrasting fabrics.  While the cut is simple, the construction of the dress makes it really unique.  Fab and just over $1,100.  Ha.
I've never really been big on wearing pants (I'd usually pick a skirt or a dress), but Miu Miu's fall stuff looks amazing.  Look at these pants.  They're simple and sleek (and $835).

Probably awesome paired with a shirt like this:
Adorable cashmere from Chinti and Parker for $550.

I LOVE Miu Miu accessories.  I think they're so fun and whimsical.  These earrings would be awesome with that Chalayan dress up there.  Bling bling it up for $235.

Finally, SHOES.  OH SHOES.  How the world of footwear would be my oyster if I had unlimited monies to spend on you.  Well, without a doubt, my epicly large walk in closet would be filled with Repetto flats at around $230 a pop.  Explore your own favorites here

Sky high heels?  Here are the ones from my dreams.  They're by Gianvito Rossi and they're so beautiful.  And $895.

Alright!  So let's settle up here...all things considered, this would only be $6,605 out of my millions!  So DOABLE, right??!....haha...It's nice to play make belief sometimes.  Ogle away, my friends.

Own: The Perfect White T from James Perse

I've been scrounging through my dresser this morning, desperate and a little sweaty and I've come out defeated.

What is it I'm looking for you ask?

My T shirt.  My perfect white T shirt.  WHERE IS IT?!  AHHH.

A few years ago, I bought this shirt:

It fits perfect in every way- just a little baggy so you can wear it on your "I feel fat" days, comes it right at the arm pit for the skinny arms look, and the v neck is just deep enough that you can show a little cleavage without feeling slutty (after all, it is just a white T).

If I don't find it, I will have to replace it.  I know that $55 for a white T shirt sounds a little steep and it is, but I've tried on countless white T's and none of them fit as perfectly as this one (how many more times can I say "perfect" in this post??). I'll say that the shirt was probably getting close to having to be replaced...sometimes you just can't help pit stains even if you have good deodorant.

Owned! Black Friday Steals!

Though I hate the fervor that Black Friday creates, there really are great deals to be had! I took advantage of being anywhere but New York to shop a store I would never attempt if I were in New York. Saks Fifth Avenue. They opened Friday morning at 8am and I was gladly one of the first shoppers into the store.

Boy, am I glad I was!  Deals, deals, deals!  Yay!

After raiding the store's contemporary section and trying on anything and everything I thought I might possibly like and could get my hands on, here's what I walked out with:

I have wanted this James Perse Contrast Panel Shirt forever so when I saw it on sale it was a no brainer buy.  The shirts are a great fit because they have knitted panels on the sides so that the shirt sits tight against the body.  I love it!

I grabbed this BCBG silk crop top on my way to the register and I really wish that I had stopped to try it on.  While it is really cute in this picture, the shirt gapes a lot so you have to wear it with someone underneath it, which totally detracts from the sexiness of the shirt!  I'll have to find a way to really style this shirt.

I love this Vince Dolman Sleeve Silk top!  It's so simple and easy to wear.  So delicate and flowy.

This Theory Avanon Dress isn't really my style, but when I tried this on, it fit so perfectly.   Since it's such a simple fit, I figured that I could dress it up with fun accessories.  Also, it's perfect for the spring/early summer which is wedding season and this dress is perfect for weddings.

I walked out of Saks having spent less than $200!  Steals, indeed!  I did a little online shopping as well, but that was mostly for Christmas gifts.  I did get a chance to pick up this necklace which I had been eying since I wrote the NYE dress post.  It should be here any day now.  I love to share my shopping success stories!
